Chrome is so sexy!!
I haven't added any news for a very long time so I thought I would just add something kinda left field!
I was just admiring again the elegance, simplicity and sheer sexiness of my new favourite web browser - Chrome!
For those of you that don't know about it - which is very possible - it's made by Google.
For god's sake - if you are still using IE or worst still IE 6 - please DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR. Download Chrome today!

This site now powered by CodeIgniter!
I spent a few days a month or so ago converting my site from standard PHP/Mysql
into a site delivered through the CodeIgniter PHP Framework.
Today I finally got around to uploading the site and making the few minor changes to my
database.
Converting the site was a great exercise because at the time I was only just starting
to learn about CodeIgniter.
I found CodeIgniter to be by far the easiest of all PHP Frameworks to learn - certainly from
my starting point of having no experience with PHP OOP and with Frameworks in general.

Hi Jumba Hosting
Well here I am on Jumba hosting. I have just moved across from Netregistry (my 1 month trial expired) and I thought the hosting pricing at Jumba was much better than Netregistry. This must also mean that I have been online for about 1 month now! It's been a real breeze getting online with Jumba too - very happy!

New colour scheme
I couldn't help myself and I uploaded a new colour scheme and design variation. I'm definately leaving my site alone now (well at least for a few weeks!). I'm going to get onto learning some new things and hopefully doing some work for other people's sites. This is what my site looked like earlier today.

Another new design uploaded
Over the last couple of days I have once again redesigned my site! I'm pretty happy with this but will be asking people for opinions over the next few days.. My wife doesn't like the colours which is fair enough - i'm not sure about them myself.. Changing the colour scheme though won't be a big issue so I might create a few differently coloured versions.. Anyway - hopefully people like the new design anyway - I'm starting to get more confident with some of the aspects of design and I think that is showing? I've also added some more menu options which reflect some future content that I would like to create.

Live @ alboydweb.com.au
I went live with my new domain alboydweb.com.au tonight! This is the first time in my life that I have had my own "proper" web address. My only problem is I am still not 100% sure I like the name I chose but I am kinda stuck with it for now - well at least for the next couple of years.

Ready to go live!
I have completed all the work I set out to do on the back-end of my website. Now I want to start having some fun with other people's websites! This site is now entirely database driven! I will inevitably update and play around with the CSS but the rest of it I'm pretty happy with for now!
